Lent Through a Franciscan Lens: Jesus is tempted in the desert

Lent is a time for contemplation and renewal. Throughout the next six weeks, friars will share a reflection on the upcoming Sunday’s Gospel. Each session will ask "Who is this 'Good News' for in 2024?”. Responding to an initiative from our recent Chapter of Unity, the friar-presenters will draw on the Franciscan intellectual tradition to explore the timeless relevance of the Gospel.

In this week’s Gospel reflection, Dan Horan, OFM, and Greg Friedman, OFM, contemplate Jesus’s temptation in the desert.
