Welcome to our new blog! This blog will enable us to bring items of current interest to you with a bit more depth than is possible in a simple notice We envision this blog as a means of sharing insights provided by new books on our Franciscan spiritual and intellectual tradition, and of alerting you to significant Franciscan events and developments. There are many things happening that prove our Franciscan tradition is alive and engaging for people today, and we hope this blog will provide us with a way of bringing some of these to you.

Professor of Franciscan Research in the Franciscan Institute of St. Bonaventure University

Dominic V. Monti, OFM, is a Franciscan Friar of Holy Name Province (USA) and currently professor of Franciscan Research in the Franciscan Institute of St. Bonaventure University. He devoted the greater part of his ministry to teaching the History of Christianity, in particular the history of the Franciscan movement. He has contributed two volumes to the Works of St. Bonaventure series and is author of Francis & His Brothers, a popular history of the Friars Minor.
