upright on his limbs. After some time he began to forget the warning Saint Francis had given and he went back to his vomit. Then one day while at a meal with some canons, the house fell in and they all escaped but him.

Finally, Saint Francis brought forth justice by the awe-inspiring nature of the miracles he performed. The Apostles had the power of working miracles: As in their life they did wonders, so in death they wrought miracles. Likewise, Saint Francis worked miracles both during his life and after his death.

You should recall, then, how Saint Francis cultivated profound humility, well tried virtue, and consummate love, so that you may arrive at eternal life, to which may He lead us Who lives and reigns with the Father and the Holy Spirit for ever. Amen.
