In this week's Gospel reflection, Brother Larry Hayes, OFM, and Greg Friedman, OFM, explore the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.  Although written specifically for the friars, we have also included Brother Larry's Easter message due to its universal appeal to all brothers and sisters in Christ.

Greg Friedman, OFM

Greg Friedman, OFM

Author and Journalist

Franciscan Father Greg Friedman is a friar of Our Lady of Guadalupe Province, based in Albuquerque, NM. An author and journalist, he has guided pilgrims in both Italy and the Holy Land. He served as editor of The Holy Land Review, the official magazine of the Franciscan Custody of the Holy Land, from 2017-2020. He offers video reflections on the Sunday readings at www.usccb.org.



Larry Hayes, OFM

Provincial Minister

Brother Larry Hayes, OFM, is a native of Mineola, Long Island, New York, and was drawn to religious life from his childhood. He graduated from Regis High School in Manhattan, and then from Columbia University and Harvard University Law School. After working for several years, he joined the Franciscans in in 1983 and made his solemn profession in 1988. Following his ordination in 1989 he ministered in a number of multicultural parish ministries, most recently in Silver Spring, MD, Durham, NC, and New York City. In 2014, he was elected Vicar Provincial of the former Holy Name Province and Secretary of Formation and Studies. In 2023 he became the first Provincial Minister of the new Province of Our Lady of Guadalupe and is currently based in Atlanta, GA.
